FBCI is located in the beautiful countryside of central Maine, where every season brings something new to enjoy. Students can explore nearby lakes, mountains, hiking trails, ski areas, and coastal destinations. Bangor is approximately 30 minutes away and offers shopping, restaurants, movies, concerts, sporting events, and other attractions.

Whether you enjoy kayaking in the summer, Maine’s colorful foliage in the fall, skiing in the winter, or hiking in the spring, there is always something to experience.

FBCI’s Theological Studies programs prepare students to serve Christ in pastoral ministry, Christian education, worship ministry, evangelism, and many other ministry-related roles. Graduates serve in vocational, bivocational, and volunteer ministry settings, while others continue their education at the graduate level.

FBCI also maintains articulation agreements with select institutions. Because each receiving institution establishes its own requirements, transfer credit and admission decisions are determined by that institution.

FBCI offers several ways to build a strong biblical and theological foundation:

Bachelor’s students may select a concentration in Pastoral Theology, Christian Education, or Worship and Music.

Tracy Hall is FBCI’s primary residence hall and provides students with a welcoming place to live, build friendships, and become part of the campus community. Men reside on the first and second floors, while women reside on the third floor.

Residence-hall rooms are shared and furnished for student living. Each floor also includes a communal lounge, refrigerators, laundry facilities, television, and comfortable gathering spaces. Limited additional campus housing may be available based on institutional policies and availability.

Campus dining gives residential students convenient access to a variety of meals throughout the week. Menus may include breakfast favorites, sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta, meats, vegetables, and other familiar options.

Students may also purchase freshly prepared food and snacks from the on-campus Snackbar.

Campus life at FBCI is about much more than attending classes. Students can participate in recreational sports, game nights, seasonal outings, shopping trips, hiking, bowling, movie nights, and other activities.

Student-led and campus-wide events, such as Welcome Week and the Christmas Banquet, give students additional opportunities to build friendships and make lasting memories.

Ministry experience is an important part of an FBCI education. Students are encouraged to become involved in a local church and may have opportunities to serve through worship, preaching, teaching, evangelism, children’s ministry, youth ministry, and other areas.

Ministry courses and supervised service opportunities help students apply what they are learning while developing the character, confidence, and practical skills needed for effective ministry.

Yes. Students may bring a vehicle to campus after completing the required registration process. Students must provide current license, vehicle-registration, and insurance information and follow all campus parking and vehicle policies.

Designated student parking areas make it convenient to keep a vehicle on campus.

FBCI does not currently participate in federal student financial aid programs. However, as a donor-supported institution, FBCI is able to keep tuition and housing costs substantially below the full cost of providing a student’s education.

The average annual cost of educating a student at FBCI is approximately $26,000. Through the generous support of donors and sponsors, students are provided with significantly reduced, donor-supported tuition of $8,320 per year.

FBCI offers a small, relational learning environment where students are known personally and can develop meaningful connections with classmates, faculty, and staff.

The faculty-to-student ratio was 1:5 for the 2025–2026 academic year, allowing students to benefit from personal attention, mentoring, and accessible faculty members.

Yes. Campus meals are offered to both residential and commuting students during scheduled meal times throughout the school year. Students do not need to purchase a meal plan. Additional food and snacks may be purchased from the on-campus Snackbar.

FBCI seeks to provide a caring, Christ-centered community that supports students academically, spiritually, and personally. Faculty, staff, Resident Assistants, mentors, and Student Life personnel are available to help students navigate challenges, find appropriate resources, and become connected to the campus community.

Our smaller campus environment allows students to form meaningful relationships and receive personal support throughout their college experience.

FBCI maintains campus safety and security services, with the Director of Facilities responsible for their day-to-day administration. Campus security personnel patrol facilities, monitor campus activities, and respond to safety concerns. Resident Assistants also help promote safety within Tracy Hall.

Emergency information may be distributed through email and text messaging. Immediate emergencies should always be reported to 911 and Campus Security.

Students are encouraged to begin with the faculty or staff member responsible for the area of concern. Resident Assistants and the Deans of Men and Women are available for residence-life and personal concerns. The Director of Student Life can help students find the right person when they are unsure where to begin.

Academic concerns may be directed to the instructor, Registrar, or Dean of Academic Affairs. Immediate safety emergencies should be reported to 911 and Campus Security.

Yes. Students may hold off-campus employment while enrolled at FBCI. However, work schedules must not interfere with class attendance, academic responsibilities, chapel, ministry assignments, or other required College activities.

Students are encouraged to speak with Student Life before finalizing a work schedule so they can maintain a healthy balance between work and college responsibilities.

FBCI is a Christ-centered educational community committed to helping students grow in their relationship with God and live according to biblical principles.

Students are expected to demonstrate integrity, modesty, respect, personal responsibility, and conduct consistent with the College’s mission and Statement of Faith. Specific expectations are published in the Student Handbook, which students agree to follow while enrolled.

Chapel is one of the central rhythms of spiritual life at FBCI. Services include worship, prayer, biblical teaching, and opportunities for students to respond to the work of the Holy Spirit.

College leaders, guest speakers, and students contribute to chapel throughout the year. These services support FBCI’s commitment to helping students discover, develop, and fulfill God’s calling on their lives.

Yes. FBCI welcomes qualified international applicants and is approved through the Student and Exchange Visitor Program to issue Form I-20.
